Life is a journey that takes us on a winding path of experiences, each one contributing to the person that we become. On each stop on the path we pick up a hat to wear that shows the world a little about who we are. We add hats, but rarely do we remove one, making for a beautiful kaleidoscope of colorful experiences. Throughout my journey I have collected the hats of daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, friend, employee, business owner, minister, writer, and the list will grow as each new experience comes my way. One of the things I have learned on this journey is that no matter what is going on in the world, there is always something to celebrate. It doesn't matter if it is silly, or serious, something to bring awareness to an important issue, or a holiday that is familiar to everyone. Big or small, we can always look around and find something to celebrate every single day.

June Is Gone with a Blur of Insanity – Hopefully July Will Be Heading Down a More Normal Path

I passed by the calendar earlier and had to stare at it a moment. The month has been so crazy, that I am pretty sure I blocked most of it out.  Maybe it’s a form of denial.  This entire year has been like something out of a bad combination of a horror show with moments …

Chocolate Eclairs and Onion Rings – Amazing Things to Celebrate While the World Goes Crazy

I had made up my mind to write something at least once a week in June. I got as far as the Monthly/Weekly/Food celebrations, was mid-way through June 1 celebrations, and just couldn’t finish. My heart wasn’t in it. Every single day something horrible happens in this country, it’s all out of control and I’m …

Belated – April 2020 – Monthly, Weekly and Food Celebrations

A very belated welcome to April.  While the world spins out of control, our nation is being brought to its knees economically for a disease that has a 98% chance of survival and recovery, it’s hard to summon much enthusiasm for celebration.  Families and small businesses are suffering, and being told to stay at home …

Cayenne Pepper Pack – Great Help For Severe Headaches Caused By Muscle Tightness

I have suffered from horrible headaches for years.  Some are from issues with my cervical spine, some from stress and some from other things.  I have multiple chemical sensitivity syndrome.  It isn’t severe.  I can survive in the world without too much of a problem, though perfumes, colognes, scented deodorants (Axe half kills me) and …

Let’s Show Our Country Some Patriotic Love and Sing the National Anthem!

Have you noticed that every time we get near time for an election, the Democrats go into overdrive politicizing something and pointing fingers of blame where no blame is deserved.  Case in point, Covid-19 – or coronavirus. This is a flu, plain and simple. It’s a flu that has mutated and will continue to mutate, …

Welcome to Monday! Grab Your Coffee and Let’s Get This Day Started!

Ooooh, two days in a row.  I know, it’s nearly a miracle!  So, the main topic everywhere lately is the COVID-19 virus, or the latest version of a coronavirus. People are in a panic over it, and while I do not negate the seriousness for people who are truly ill with it, from everything I …
